The vineyard this wine comes from flows over three terraces with distinctly different soil types, composed of clays and ancient river shingles, a feature rarely found within a single vineyard site. Renowned winemaker, Brent Marris, has used this to craft a complex yet harmonious Pinot Noir, with a core plummy fruit and ripe berry flavours, and enticing aromas of violet and hint of oak.
**Robert Parker: 86 Points**
"Ruby-purple colored, the 2010 The Ned Pinot Noir gives aromas of red currants, cranberries and pomegranates with hints of cloves and anise. Medium bodied, it gives a good amount of juicy berry fruit in the mouth offset by very crisp acid and a low level of silky tannins, finishing medium-long. Drink it now through 2014."
